I knew I had a tough challenge ahead when I joined the Kadena team in April 2022 with the goal of creating a unique Dev Experience team. I was new to crypto and had to learn the ins-and- outs of a wildly complicated industry. I also knew I could bring great value because of my extensive engineering background and passion for front-end development.

We have been steadily growing an all-star team as our team needed to be up to par with our all-star core Haskellers at Kadena. We currently have a team of 7 developers working on dev experience, which will grow to 12 by the end of the year. Growing this team this fast already points out the importance of the developer experience for Kadena. There is a lot of great stuff coming to our ecosystem, so fasten your seatbelt because next year will be like “The Fast and the Furious — K-orbit” 🚀!!

We’re on the verge of a new and improved front-end experience at Kadena! It’s time to let the community in on how our innovation network, Kadena Eco, is turbocharging R&D efforts to improve our front-end ecosystem and what lies ahead in the coming months. Because we believe that our community members can best help us when they are informed. So along with developing a stellar new front end, another key job is keeping our community apprised every step of the way.

Marmalade is the new Kadena standard for NFTs, addressing long-standing concerns plaguing NFT markets today, like the inability to enforce requirements (i.e., royalties) on the sale of an NFT. We’d like to update our incredible community of builders on Marmalade and our roadmap for the future.

The primary focus of Kadena these last few years has been to create a state-of-the-art first layer blockchain development solution. In that quest, we’re not ashamed to admit that we’ve also gone big and bold by setting out to completely revolutionize the blockchain world.
